There’s a new Mitsubishi Triton Bold Edition available at Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia showrooms from tomorrow onwards, and there’s only 300 units to go around.

The Triton Bold Edition is based on the Triton 2.5 A/T and adds full leather seats, a 2-DIN touch screen system with built-n GPS navigation and reverse camera, automatic climate control, 17 inch alloy wheels, anti-slip side steps, a sports bar, a chrome rear step bumper and a front bumper guard.

The equipment list is similar to that of the Triton 2.5 Automatic so it has dual airbags, ABS with EBD, hybrid LSD, foglamps, a multi-mode centre information display and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. This list is enhanced by a 2-DIN entertainment system with touchscreen and integrated GPS navigation system. Its full-colour LCD screen also doubles up as a display for the Triton Bold Edition's reverse camera which aids parking considerably. Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia is the first to offer a reverse camera for a pick-up truck sold here. All occupants also get to enjoy even more comfort on plush full leather seats in a spacious cabin that is comparable to a passenger car’s. Automatic climate control, offered only on the flagship 3.2-litre Triton is also installed in the Triton Bold Edition.

Power is provided by the proven 2.5-litre turbocharged commonrail diesel engine that produces 136 ps of power and 314 Nm of torque. Drive from this strong yet economical engine is transferred to the ground via a 4-speed automatic transmission and Mitsubishi's Easy Select 4x4 system.

The Triton is Malaysia’s most awarded pick-up truck and continues to be a winner in ‘Car of the Year’ programs. Just a few months ago, the facelifted version was picked by Autocar ASEAN as “Pick-up truck of the Year”.

The Triton Bold Edition is priced at RM100,117.80 OTR without insurance and until the end of January, you’ll get a Festive Ang Pow if you book and register one.

The truck is available in either black or white and comes with a 2-year free maintenance package and 3-year warranty from Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia.
